By opting for the Pakistan Hajj route, you gain access to a more trusted and streamlined process with a guaranteed Hajj spot.

#1 Applying for Pakistani Passport

# 2 Picking a Hajj agency

Picking a Hajj Agency can be frightening!

We’ve all heard the horror stories—scammers posing as Hajj agents, guides disappearing at critical moments, or arriving to find that what you booked is far from what was promised. These fears can weigh heavily on our minds. However, the reality is that premium Hajj agencies in Pakistan have been delivering exceptional services for decades. From personal experience and the testimonials of countless others in your position, we’ve seen how these agencies consistently go above and beyond expectations. Many have found that choosing the Pakistan Hajj route over Nusuk was a decision they’ll forever be grateful for, as the services were extraordinary, and the experience exceeded their imagination.

We have gathered packages from a few Pakistani agencies for Hajj 2025, with the contact information of their agents.

View Hajj Packages HERE

We recommend Al Khair Hajj Group, TMG (Travel Mate Hajj Group), Universal Brothers, Universal Express and Short EZ Hajj for luxurious Hajj experience.

    • Request Package Details: Start by asking the agencies for a detailed list of their Hajj packages.

    • Compare Options: Collect packages from multiple trusted agencies to get a comprehensive understanding of what's available.

    • Analyze Package Structure: Review the structure of each package carefully. Consider factors like accommodations, services, and itineraries to identify what aligns best with your needs.

    • Decide Your Preferences:

      • Would you prefer to begin your journey in Madinah or conclude it there?

      • Are you more comfortable with a Shifting Package (moving between accommodations) or a Non-Shifting Package (staying in one place)?

    • Ask Questions: Dive deeper into the details of each package. Don’t hesitate to reach out to agencies for clarification or additional information. The more informed you are, the better your decision will be.

  • The agencies we’ve recommended are trusted and have been thoroughly tried and tested.

To build your confidence, ask the agent for contact details of past travelers who have used their services. You might wonder if they’ll provide random contacts from within their agency—don’t worry. Request multiple references, especially from travelers in your own country.

For example, if you’re based in the US, ask to speak with their past US customers. Connect with them and have an open conversation about their experiences, services, and overall satisfaction.

Ultimately, there comes a point where you have to take a leap of faith. Perform Istikhara (guidance prayer), trust the process, and proceed with your booking!

  • Once you’ve selected a package, discuss it thoroughly with the agent. They may assign a team member to gather your details and walk you through the itinerary.

    1. Get Everything in Writing: Request a written copy of the itinerary and all package details.

    2. Clarify Key Details:

      • Hotel names and their exact locations.

      • The building location in Azizia (if included in your package).

      • Specifics about the Mina camp, including its distance from the Jamarat.

      • Setup and arrangements in Arafat and Mina.

    3. Understand the Payment Process: Once all details are clear, the agent will guide you through the payment procedure.

      • Most agencies require full payment 45 to 60 days before Hajj.

      • You can often pay in installments (e.g., half upfront and the remainder later), but ensure you meet their deadlines.

Important Note: This process is similar to what was followed in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, and other countries before COVID and the introduction of Nusuk. It’s a standard procedure designed for your convenience.

  • Most agencies require full payment at least 45 to 60 days before Hajj. It’s always better to complete the payment as early as possible to secure your spot and avoid last-minute hassles.

    • Some agencies maintain bank accounts in the United States, while others operate directly through accounts in Pakistan.

    • It is perfectly acceptable to wire transfer funds to Pakistan. For reference, even Nusuk includes wire transfers to Saudi banks as a standard payment method—it’s about placing your trust in the process.

Make sure to request a receipt from your agency as proof of payment. This ensures transparency and provides peace of mind.

#3 Picking a Hajj Package

There is so much variety, so many options, I dont know which one to pick?

Understand your needs and priorities:

Are you traveling alone, with family, or elderly parents?

Do you have special requirements or a specific budget?

Once you’ve reflected on these, you’ll have a clearer sense of what you need from a Hajj package. Let’s break it down further to help you make an informed choice.

  • Choose a package that balances your budget and preferences. Here’s what you need to know:

    • Premium/Luxury Packages: These start at around $8,000 and can go up to $25,000, offering top-tier accommodations and services.

    • Economical Packages: These range between $5,000 and $9,000, providing more budget-friendly options without compromising the essentials.

To save money, explore areas where you can cut costs:

    • Stay in Azizia during Hajj days: Accommodation in Azizia is typically more affordable than hotels closer to the Haram.

    • Choose apartment buildings over hotels in Azizia: Apartments are less expensive than 3- or 5-star hotels and may still offer comfort and convenience. Additionally, apartments in Azizia are often located closer to Mina camps, reducing travel time during Hajj rituals.

Consider these factors to tailor your package to your financial and practical needs.

  • Consider how much time you can take off work—14 days, 21 days, or just 10 days—and ensure this aligns with the schedules of all family members traveling with you. Coordinating everyone’s availability is crucial for planning a smooth and stress-free journey.

    • Non-Shifting Packages

Non-shifting packages offer a single, designated accommodation in Makkah throughout your stay, both before and after completing the rituals of Hajj.

      • Key Benefits:

        • No need to relocate during your time in Makkah.

        • Your hotel room and luggage remain accessible during and after the Days of Hajj.

        • Simplifies the overall experience, providing peace of mind.

Summary: You retain access to your hotel throughout your stay, including the Days of Hajj, and your luggage stays in your hotel room.

      Shifting Packages

Shifting packages provide accommodations in Makkah before the Days of Hajj. Once Hajj begins, you check out of your Makkah hotel, and your belongings are moved to accommodations in Aziziyah.

      • Key Details:

        • During the Days of Hajj, you’ll stay in Mina camps, and your luggage will be transferred to an Aziziyah hotel or apartment.

        • Access to your belongings depends on the proximity of your Aziziyah accommodation to Mina camps.

        • These packages are generally less expensive than non-shifting ones.

Summary: You check out of your Makkah hotel when Hajj begins. While staying in Mina, your luggage is transferred to an accommodation in Aziziyah, where you’ll stay after completing Hajj rituals.

Important Note: If you're opting for a luxury shifting package, confirm with your agency whether the accommodation in Aziziyah is a hotel or an apartment building, and ask for the exact location on Google Maps. Map out the distance to Mina for clarity.

      Aziziyah-Only Packages

These are the most budget-friendly packages, with accommodations exclusively in Aziziyah.

      • Key Details:

        • Aziziyah is too far to walk to Masjid Al-Haram but is usually close to Mina camps.

        • Transportation from Aziziyah to the Haram for Hajj rituals is typically provided by bus. Ensure your package specifies these arrangements.

        • During the Days of Hajj, travel between Mina camps and your Aziziyah hotel can be tricky due to traffic. Although the distance is about 4 miles, it may take up to 3 hours one way.

Summary: These packages focus on affordability, with all accommodations in Aziziyah. Confirm transportation details with your agency to avoid any surprises.

      Additional Considerations

      • Mina Camp Proximity: During the 6 days of Hajj in Mina, having nearby accommodation can be very convenient.

      • Hajj Logistics for Pakistani Agencies: Most Hajj-related activities for Pakistani agencies are centered around Aziziyah.

      Tips for Shifting Packages:

      • Confirm whether the Aziziyah accommodation is a hotel or an apartment building.

      • For luxury packages, it should be a hotel.

      • Ask for the exact location and map out the distance to Mina on Google Maps for better planning.

    • Double Occupancy: Indicates 2 people per room in the hotel. this is ideal for a couple to remain together during while they are in their hotels. however it increased the cost significantly(by about 1,400 dollars) compared to the Triple occupancy. not all packages offer this option.

    • Triple Occupancy: Indicates 3 people per room in the hotel. ideal for a family of 3 who wish to remain together while they are in their hotels. Or it can be for an individual who chooses to be with two other random Hujjaj(same gender) but not to be as crowded as a quad occupancy room. this option usually costs about 1,400 dollars USD more then the quad occupancy

    • Quad Occupancy: indicates 4 people in a room. this is ideal for any family of 4 who want to stay together, or it can be an individual who wants to minimize the cost of hajj by sharing the room with three other random Hujjaj(same gender) in the same room. Choosing this option will lower the overall cost of hajj

  • Camp A (Pakistan Mina Camp)

    • Luxury and Proximity: Camp A offers a luxurious experience and is located close to the Jamarat, with just a 10-15 minute walk.

      • The return journey takes about 40 minutes due to crowd flow.

    • Amenities:

      • Fully air-conditioned tents.

      • Buffet-style meals provided.

      • Some agencies may include private washrooms for added convenience.

    • Example: Check out examples from agencies like Alkhair for a better idea of Camp A setups.

    • While amenities are largely consistent across agencies, there may be slight differences. Always discuss the specifics with your agent.

    Camp B (Maktab B)

    • Proximity: Camp B is also relatively close to the Jamarat, requiring a 15-20 minute walk to get there and about an hour walk back.

    • Amenities:

      • May be air-conditioned or equipped with cooler fans. However, cooler fans may not suffice in extreme temperatures of up to 115°F (50°C).

      • Meals are typically boxed, which may not offer the same comfort as a buffet.

    Camp C and Camp D

    • Recommendation: Avoid Camp C and Camp D due to substandard conditions.

      • Camp C: Offers minimal amenities, with little comfort in terms of temperature control or meal options.

      • Camp D: Commonly used in Government Packages, these camps are highly basic.

        • No proper beds.

        • Limited electricity.

        • Overcrowded and uncomfortable.

Note: While government packages might assign Camp D, it's highly advisable to choose a package with access to Camp A or B for a more comfortable and manageable Hajj experience.

    Final Tips

    • Always discuss the details of Mina camp arrangements with your agency.

    • Confirm the type of camp (A or B) and its exact amenities before making your decision.

    • Prioritize comfort and proximity to the Jamarat to make your Hajj experience smoother.

  • You have two options:

    1. Book flights yourself, or

    2. Let your Hajj agency handle the booking.

    Key Considerations When Booking Flights

    • Coordinate Arrival Times:
Ask your agency for the recommended arrival window and try to book your flight accordingly. It’s better to align with the group’s schedule, especially if they’re transiting through a layover, such as in Dubai. Joining them at the layover and arriving in Saudi together simplifies logistics.

    • Avoid Delayed Arrivals:
Arriving in Saudi days after your group can cause unnecessary stress, especially regarding airport pickups. Agencies may not always have the resources to accommodate multiple individual pickups due to heavy traffic and logistical constraints. Imagine trying to coordinate airport pickups for 50 different families arriving at various times—it’s a near-impossible task for most agencies.

    • Hotel Check-In Requirements:
Someone from your agency will typically handle the check-in process at your hotel in Makkah or Madinah. Arriving before your group may cause delays or complications, as the agency might not have someone ready to assist you.

If You Choose to Book Your Own Flights

    • Inform your agency of your exact flight details, including arrival time.

    • Discuss and finalize a plan for:

      • Airport pickup.

      • Hotel check-in arrangements.

    Final Tips

    • Talk through your travel plans in detail with your agency to ensure a smooth experience.

    • Whenever possible, travel with your group to avoid unnecessary anxiety or logistical challenges.

    • Coordinating your arrival with the group ensures a more organized and stress-free transition from the airport to your hotel.

  • Hajj is a physically and mentally demanding journey, and proper preparation is essential to ensure a smooth and fulfilling experience.

    Understand the Physical Demands

Hajj is not like Umrah. While you might think performing multiple Umrahs in a short span has prepared you, Hajj involves significantly more walking, standing, and physical exertion, often in extreme heat and amidst large crowds.

    • Start Training Early:
Begin a walking routine immediately after Ramadan to build your stamina:

      • Walk 3-5 miles daily or every other day, depending on your schedule.

      • Continue this until about a week before your departure.

    • Practice with Your Gear:

      • Walk with the backpack you plan to carry during Hajj.

      • Use the sandals or slippers you intend to wear to ensure they’re comfortable for long distances.

    Visit Your Primary Care Physician

Before embarking on Hajj, schedule a visit with your doctor to discuss the unique conditions you’ll encounter:

    • Explain that you’ll be in close proximity to people from around the world, increasing the risk of illness.

    • Ask about preventative medications like antibiotics or other measures that could help protect you from common illnesses during Hajj.

    • If you take medication for existing conditions, ensure you stock up on enough supplies for your entire journey, plus a little extra in case of delays.

  • Embarking on Hajj requires not only physical readiness but also profound mental and spiritual preparation. Central to this journey are the virtues of patience and gratitude, which serve as essential companions throughout the pilgrimage.

Patience (Sabr): Hajj is a test of endurance, often involving long waits, crowded spaces, and unexpected challenges. Embracing patience allows pilgrims to navigate these trials with grace, fostering inner peace and spiritual growth.

As noted, "Patience purifies the soul, and Hajj offers numerous opportunities for self-purification."

Gratitude (Shukr): Recognizing the immense blessing of undertaking Hajj cultivates a heart full of gratitude. This appreciation enhances the spiritual experience, deepening one's connection to the sacred rituals and the divine presence.

Maintaining Sanctity: The holy sites demand a heightened sense of reverence. Pilgrims are encouraged to uphold the sanctity of these places through mindful behavior, continuous remembrance of Allah, and adherence to the prescribed etiquettes of Hajj.

By embodying patience and gratitude, and by maintaining the sanctity of the sacred rituals, pilgrims can transform the Hajj journey into a profound act of worship and personal growth.

  • We have a extensive packing guide HERE

Key Reminder: You don’t need to buy everything on the list—focus on essentials that ensure comfort and safety during your journey.

    • Comfortable Footwear: Invest in shoes or slippers that you can wear for long periods and in extreme heat.

    • Comfortable Ihram: Choose an Ihram that is lightweight, breathable, and suited for hot climates.

    • Hydration Essentials:

      • Pack plenty of Liquid IV or similar hydration solutions. These can help replenish electrolytes and keep you hydrated.

      • Drink water regularly and avoid waiting until you feel thirsty.

    Why Hydration is Critical

With temperatures rising up to 115°F (46°C), the risks of dehydration and heat exhaustion are significant.

    • Dehydration is Real: Many pilgrims suffer from severe dehydration, leading to weakness, dizziness, or worse.

    • Heat Exhaustion is Real: Prolonged exposure to the heat can lead to fainting or life-threatening conditions.

    Protect Yourself:

    • Drink water frequently, ideally enhanced with electrolytes.

    • Take breaks in shaded areas whenever possible.

Your health and safety are paramount—stay hydrated, stay vigilant, and prioritize your well-being throughout the journey.

Frequently Asked Questions

I have a NICOP. Do I need a Pakistani passport to go for Hajj via a Pakistani agency?

Yes. A Hajj visa is issued on a passport. If you are applying through a Pakistani agency, you will need a Hajj visa on your Pakistani passport. It is not possible to get a Hajj visa on a NICOP (National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis).

How do dual passports work? Will having a US and Pakistani passport cause any issues?

No, it will not cause any trouble. Many US citizens are dual passport holders (e.g., US-Canada, UK-US, Mexican-US). Both the United States and Pakistan allow dual citizenship, and the process is entirely legal and straightforward.

Traveling on dual passports is common, and airport and airline staff handle this daily. You simply present both passports. For example:

  • When leaving the US, the immigration officer will stamp your US passport.

  • On arrival in Saudi Arabia, you present your Pakistani passport since your Hajj visa is issued on it.

This seamless process ensures a smooth journey.

Are these agencies reliable? I'm concerned about transferring large sums of money.

Yes, they are reliable. While it’s natural to feel anxious about transferring funds internationally, thousands of Pakistanis from the US perform Hajj via Pakistani agencies every year. It is a standard and well-established process. We will provide a list of trusted agencies at the end of this guide. Always ensure to request and retain a receipt once your funds are received.

Do I need to travel to Pakistan to join my group for Hajj?

No. You can join your group at a layover point such as Dubai, Qatar, or Istanbul, or meet them directly in Saudi Arabia.

We recommend joining your group at a layover point to ensure a smooth arrival together in Saudi Arabia. If you choose to travel to Saudi Arabia independently:

  • Ensure your documentation (visa, passport, immunizations) is complete.

  • Communicate your arrival details to your agency in advance.

Note that if you arrive separately, the agency may not provide airport pickup, so you’ll need to arrange transportation. However, for groups arriving together from the US, agencies often arrange transportation (e.g., buses) to accommodate travelers.

How is the quality of service and packages?

Pakistani premium Hajj agencies, such as Al Khair, Short Easy Hajj, TMG, and Universal Brothers, provide exceptional services. Their reputation is so strong that prominent US-based agencies like Dar us Salam Travels and Adam Travels have partnered with them in the past.

Key highlights:

  • 5-star accommodations in Makkah and Madinah.

  • Comfortable housing in Azizia (details below).

  • Camps in Mina are very close to the Jamarat (10-minute walk to Jamarat, slightly longer on the way back).

  • Coordinators are highly organized and proactive, handling all logistics to ensure your Hajj experience is smooth and stress-free.

Will everyone in my group be from Pakistan?

No. Most agencies group Overseas Pakistanis together. Your group will likely include Pakistanis from the US, UK, Canada, UAE, and Australia. In fact, you might find yourself wondering where the Pakistan-based travelers are—they are usually grouped separately.

What is Azizia? Why should I stay there?

Azizia is a suburb of Makkah located close to Mina. During Hajj, most of your time is spent in Mina rather than the Haram, making Azizia a convenient choice.

Benefits of staying in Azizia:

  • Proximity to Mina allows for easy travel back and forth.

  • Agencies arrange transportation between Azizia and the Haram, so you can visit the Haram when needed without hassle.

Staying in Azizia offers both convenience and comfort during the Hajj journey.
